We are excited to announce that our book club is joining forces with All On The Line, a project of Eric Holder’s National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC)! Our friends at All On The Line also launched a book club, so we thought it would be great to work together.
Sister District Action Network and AOTL Book Club members voted to select our current book: “One Person, No Vote” by Carol Anderson. In the book, Anderson details the 2013 Supreme Court ruling Shelby v. Holder, which rolled back many of the voter protections in the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Anderson also highlights the grassroots organizing, activism, and litigation trying to fight to restore and protect voting rights since Shelby.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be publishing an original Reader’s Guide. Our “fireside chat” interview is scheduled for December 16th!

SDAN is Sister District’s affiliated 501(c)4, that focuses on civic engagement projects like voter registration and education, and experimental research on topics like the efficacy of postcards and social cohesion among grassroots volunteers. SDAN is proud to partner with All On the Line for this book club.
AOTL is a national campaign that is an offshoot of 82nd Attorney General of the United States Eric Holder’s National Democratic Redistricting Committee. AOTL is working with grassroots organizers across the country to end gerrymandering, restore fairness to our democracy, and ensure every American has an equal say in our government.
